Sometimes I feel so bad for clothing designers. They work so hard for their art, but for such little return.

Today, they lined up around Bendel’s and I could taste their desperation. Their poor little eyes turned on me as I sauntered down the line searching for a story. Sadly, I usually never get the opportunity to do follow-ups on these stories since the designers so often don’t make it past a few seasons.

I’m always interested to see these designers and their new ideas, but I’m a tad sad that I’m missing Stuart Weitzman at Holt Renfrew tonight. He is set to preview a few delectable designs and show a replica of this year’s Million Dollar Shoes Diablo Cody was rumored to wear to the Oscars, but didn’t. It’s a shame I’ll miss my dear shoe-designing friend, but guess who was lucky enough to actually try on those beauties before Ms. Cody ever heard about them?
