What’s New, Pussycat?
Dear readers, do you know how exhausted I am trying to bring you the newest news possible?
Sure, it might sound glamorous jet-setting around the world looking for trends before they even start, but it is such difficult work. Fashion journalists around the world crack nails and break heels while running to shows and stores, fighting for stories. I am telling you that I am out in the trendy trenches doing battle for you. I wouldn’t fight for just anyone, you know.
What do I look for when I’m thinking of you in those far-flung global destinations? Something fresh, something new, something that you haven’t seen before, or something that you should look at in a whole new way. What’s new and on the way to you this Spring? Let’s take a look.
Lucinda’s List: The Next Big Things
- Silly Rabbits – No, they aren’t silly. Bunnies are finally getting their due since they make fashionably fabulous (and quiet!) pets.
- Sexy Tresses – It’s time to channel Brigitte Bardot, not the time to scrimp on substandard extensions.
- Sparkling Red – A new favourite wine arrives in time for Spring.
- Scooters in the City – With eco-consciousness as the biggest trend of the year, everyone should get scooters to save the world.
- Superhero Style – Did you ever see a superhero in beige? No. To be super, you have to have colour.
- Smiles and Sunshine – Spring is here so show off your warm weather happiness.
- Strappy Sandals – Oh, I am such a tease! One must not wear sandals until after the Victoria Day Long Weekend.
- Sleeping Beauties – Sure, you’re coming out of hibernation, but don’t forget that sleep is the best way to remain energized.
- Scorching Shoulders – Forget the tacky Sex in the City cleavage, ladies! Spring is all about demurely showing some scapula.
- Scarf and Sunglass Schemes – Protect your hair from urban atrocities by envisioning yourself as Jackie O evading paparazzi.

Tell me more about this sparkling red - I was telling the girls at work about an Italian sparkling red I had in Italy and how there really should be some here. And now you’re teasing me Lucinda!
You know my email… or you can tell me at the TFI New Labels Gala Dinner.
