While at the Contact Photography Festival’s opening gala last week, I was told I simply had to attend Fashion Through Photography: The Idealization of the Human Form at the Pentimento Fine Art Gallery.
I usually don’t venture to Queen Street East, but this exhibit was worth the trip. I studied classic works by Horst, Richard Avedon, Clarence Bull and George Hurrell.
I adored Clarence Bull’s Greta Garbo portraits, but it was the Avedon work that left me breathless. Of course, I had to buy one. How could I not own a piece of fashion history?
