I never realized how much television shows relied on teamwork. I was lucky to work with an amazing post-production team, who got the pilot done on time and on budget. It pays to be an arts reporter. Connections help.
Now I have to sit and wait for feedback from New York. I know this can be a global show since there is a worldwide sophistication drought.

Good luck with your pilot. I made a fashion-related TV pilot a couple of years ago that was shopped around at all the non-fiction festivals. The responses were great, but no one picked up the show. Nevertheless, it was exciting to know that network executives were telling the producers that they liked me more than they liked the concept.
The one lesson I learned from the experience was this: Canadian TV executives are the cheapest, least-visionary individuals in the televsion business. A close friend of mine who works for Paramount’s TV division gave me the low-down, and she claimed that we’re the international laughingstocks of the industry. I wish I had known that before I got my hopes up.
Still, a foot in the door is better than no foot in the door. Once again, good luck!
