French photographer Pierre Maraval creates human landscapes. He recently photographed Toronto’s top creative women for his Mille Femmes project, which is part of the Luminato festival. Tonight, one thousand women celebrated their artistic achievments together at the Allen Lambert Galleria in Brookfield Place.
It was a wonderful evening until whispers through the crowd grew louder and we all realized that Fiona’s photo had been vandalized. Given recent events, I was the first to blame. Fingers pointed, people stared, and I left. There are only so many prying eyes one woman can withstand over a week.
