Since I am set to publicly debut my new face in front of Toronto’s harshest critics (Bernie’s friends) this weekend, I panicked about what to wear, so I went to visit Lynda Latner of Vintage Couture.
Her office and showroom in the stately Avenue Road and St. Clair area are clean and white, but functional and not frilly; almost all of her customers shop online. Very few are privileged to shop in person, but of course she opened her closet to me. Rifling through racks of YSL, Chanel, and Givenchy? Oh my! Delightful!
I adored a sequinned Halston with a cloud motif. A classic Dior LBD from the 1950s was to die for. Lynda only stocks the very best. We happen to be the same size, so I suspect that she keeps all the most divine items for herself, but I suppose that is her finder’s advantage. I can’t wait to accessorize my youthful look with vintage Halston.
