As I could not make final fashion decisions, I had my stylist bring every single sample we had. There we were, down at Queen and Bathurst, surrounded by racks, shoes, and accessories.
It was slightly stressful because horns were honking and pedestrians were yelling. People weren’t as happy as I thought they would be for closing the street for a Very Important Photoshoot. They should be honoured. Unfortunately, we heard some colourful language, distracting to everyone involved with the shoot. Particularly distressing was one foul-mouthed squeegee punk who screamed, “First a Starbucks, then some stupid fashionistas? What’s happening to my street?”
I was struck with inspiration: He and his friends would make perfect backdrops for the Street Chic shoot! I asked his name (Danko), waved a few twenty dollar bills at him and his friends, and asked them to sit behind the model. They did, and I noticed something in the test shots: Danko had a dyed rabbit. I was pinched with sadness, but thought the bunny would add something to the shoot, since I couldn’t get the clothes quite right.
As I approached Danko, his pet noticed me. There was a sparkle in its eye and it hopped out of his arms and into mine. Lady Miss Angora! We were so happy to be reunited. Lady Miss Angora made a fashionably on-time re-entrance into my life! She was the perfect accessory for the shoot, then helped choose other outfits. She may have had to go through a rebellious punk period, but now she’s back to her fashionable self too. She does still seem to have a penchant for studded collars.

[...] pictures are in from the street style shoot, and they are stunning. I do think it’s the best shoot in Canadian fashion history. [...]
