Woo! My lookbook’s at the printer, so I took a break and went to the cast and crew screening of a totally cool new movie called TORONTO STORIES.

I’ve never been to a cast and crew screening before. I didn’t even know that film people do this, but my friend was a production assistant and thought I’d like the movie. So I got to see the movie before practically everyone else in the world! That’s pretty neat.

Anyway, I LOVED the movie! Well, it’s sort of four movies in one. Four of Toronto’s emerging directors each told a story. I loved the animation in Aaron Woodley’s movie, agreed with Sook-Yin Lee’s take on Toronto relationships, thought Sudz Sutherland’s look at city crime and race relations was cool (and I thought he was totally hot, too, when I saw him at the afterparty!), and was totally into David Weaver’s heartbreaking tale of loss. Each director showed something different about the city. I really love living in Toronto.

Oh, and I met a budding costume designer too. Her name is Jennifer Bunt and she told me all about what it was like to be in charge of costumes for a full-length feature for the first time. It’s called Shark City and I can’t wait to see it! It’s so neat to know people who actually created movies that you watch. Hmmm… now I’m thinking that maybe I should do some costume design. I’d be great at it.
