Louisa McCormack Launches “The Catch”

Lucinda McRuvy

Tonight, the lovely Louisa McCormack and Nathalie Atkinson chatted about Louisa’s latest book, The Catch. I adored Louisa’s last novel – I do know a thing or two about toxic friendships – and cannot wait to read this one.

The evening at Type Books was delightful, though it was disrupted at the beginning when one young girl entered the room and exclaimed, “Which one of you bitches is anti fashion?”

The room went silent until Fiona pointed her finger at me and said, “Lucinda McRuvy is anti fashion!”

I was in shock! Who could ever claim that I am anti-fashion?

Later, (at a favoured Ossington bar), Bernie told me that I was being accused of being Auntie Fashion, a blogger who claims to be fashion’s most enduring muse, but whose real identity is the subject of much speculation.

A BLOGGER?! How could anyone think that I would write a BLOG?  I have to admit, though, that the blog is well written and I somewhat enjoyed it. Perhaps I will read it more often. Whoever could think that I was Auntie Fashion must be insane, though. I have always loved (and always will love) Mr. Marc Jacobs. Oh, that Fiona…always getting things wrong…

I was also informed that the girl who originally made the exclamation is a fashion blogger. That explains everything. One should never listen to fashion bloggers.
