OMG! I can’t believe our completely overconsumptive society. We’re so bad, someone got trampled in a Wal-Mart! That’s why I like to celebrate Buy Nothing Day. The great Adbusters magazine started this event to encourage us to save the planet and consume less. I didn’t buy anything today.

Well, I did kind of buy some fabric, but that was so I could make some skirts to sell at my sample sale next week so I can pay my rent, so that doesn’t really count as mindless consumerism.
