Important Things That Must Include Your Project Management Resume

There is no denying that the competition for jobs is intense for a  project manager. If you have decided that this is the year you will go into project management or upgrade your current work here are some suggestions that will help your resume leap from the table to make sure you get the attention of recruiters:

Resume extension: Employers often look at your LinkedIn site. LinkedIn does not have yet? You should better get one! LinkedIn is a great way to build professional relationships. Recruiters also use LinkedIn to verify the jobs listed on your resume. You can browse through the official website to get IT/Engineering professional resumes & LinkedIn profiles online.

Create an achievement section: Make sure your resume has a section on the front page that highlights the best bits of your career.

Scanned the first page: The first page of your resume needs readable and scannable in 10 seconds or less. Use a font size that is slightly larger like 14 to draw the reader's attention to a part of your accomplishments.

Be clear: Each sentence must be strong and clear.

Use industry words: Project management has its own lexicon. Sharing experience and knowledge of project management by dropping in some industry terminology.

Certification: Make sure you put any certification on the first page. If you do not have any, start one! This way you can legitimately put one on your resume, do not lie just make a note mentioning the certification is "in process".

Check the details: Make sure you check all details of names, people, and places. 

Keep your resume small: Keeping your resume to four pages or less. No one wants to read a 100-page tomb of your life. Use only four pages to gain experience and skills in a short and concise way.
