Gone are the days when hosting a Valentines party means sending an RSVP invitation, preparing starched tablecloths, per course meal planning and a rigid guest list.
In planning your guest list, you are free to invite in short notice. Telephone calls or even a short message via email can be a good means of inviting. Informal Valentines party means more on socializing and guests interacting among themselves rather than a formal table set up.
Informal Valentines parties nowadays can be barbecue parties or simple buffet parties. In this kind of parties, you need not worry to have particular Valentines decorations or party supplies.
If you choose to hold your party at your house, aside from the food you prepared, some guests will volunteer for potlucks to have more food at the party. Others opt for pizza and cooked food ordered last minute during the event so that all will be served hot or cold if salads are chosen.
No need to decorate the venue. The place must be clean, tables for food are prepared, and guests will only worry on foods, drinks and conversations.
Gift from the hosts is not a requirement when holding an informal party. Should there be leftovers, guests will divide what’s left from the party.
